She co-founded the NAACP Author Pavilion at their Annual Convention and has also organized book events for Barnes & Noble. She has lent her expertise to the National Book Fesitval by serving in a past role as its Diversity Chair.
An innovator in this space, Mocha has founded events where they were needed, creating the International Women’s Book Club Summit, Silver Spring Book Festival, and the Soul of South Florida Book Festival. As a consultant, she contributed to the development of the National Press Club’s Annual Book Fair and the National Council of Negro Women’s Author Pavilion at the National Family Reunion.
