Each month, host Mocha Ochoa—a renowned author, publisher, and media personality—selects a compelling book by a Black author that reflects the richness, complexity, and brilliance of Black life.
Through interviews, community engagement, and dynamic discussions, the LIT Lounge creates space for authentic dialogue around culture, liberation, identity, and legacy. The podcast and book club aim to connect readers across generations and geographies, elevating books that challenge, empower, and ignite transformation.
Filmed in Harlem, New York, the series invites thought leaders, authors, artists, and tastemakers to join Mocha in intimate, inspiring conversations. LIT Lounge is more than a book club—it’s a movement, where literature meets liberation, and storytelling becomes a tool for change.
